We've had a couple of students recently request to play sports with other schools, and it has raised the question about what exactly is the correct process we should be using in these situations. WHSAA has an Affiliate Virtual School Membership Form as well as the Combination School Agreement Form for this situation.
Parents should complete the Affiliate Virtual School Membership Form and submit it and the $107 fee directly to WHSAA. Once signed up as a Virtual Affiliate member, they (the parents) would then complete the Combination School Agreement Form with the host school. The parents are the signatory principal for the visiting school in that situation. Neither of our high schools nor the CSVA are involved with any of the forms required.
One example is CSVA/BHHS student that wants to play softball at Cheyenne Central (she lives in Central's boundaries). The parents will complete the Virtual School form and send it and $107 to WHSAA. They will then complete the combination agreement form with Central. They and Central sign that form.
